USA NETWORK ACQUIRES RIGHTS TO CBS TELEVISION DISTRIBUTION'S CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION

USA Network has acquired the rights to CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION. The announcement was made today by Jane Blaney, USA's executive vice president, program acquisitions and scheduling.

Under the agreement, USA will have non-exclusive rights to seasons 1-10 beginning December 2010. Starting Fall 2011, USA will also have the exclusive off-network rights to premiere CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION Seasons 11 and beyond. Beginning September 2014, NBCU shall be the exclusive home of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION.

"We're proud to add one of the most successful television series of the last 20 years to our programming slate," said Blaney. "CSI fits perfectly into our already powerful collection of procedurals, including NCIS, LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT, HOUSE, LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT and eventually NCIS: LOS ANGELES. CSI, one of only two shows to spawn two successful spin-offs, is an iconic series that reflects USA's commitment to quality storytelling and unique characters."

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION has been one of the most dominant shows on TV for the last decade, averaging 25 million viewers over its first seven seasons. CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION has been a top 10 show for each of its 10 seasons, including six seasons in the top 3 and remains one of the most popular shows on TV with 18MM viewers STD.

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION is a fast-paced drama about a team of Las Vegas-based forensic investigators trained to solve crimes by examining the evidence. They are on the case 24/7, scouring the scene, collecting the irrefutable evidence and finding the missing pieces that will solve the mystery.
